CITIC Securities has observed that following a widespread market rally in the preceding week, the market transitioned into a phase of pronounced differentiation last week, marked by a secondary stylistic shift. The Shanghai Composite Index concluded the week on a lower note, while previously robust large-cap blue-chip stocks experienced a weakening trend. Conversely, the ChiNext Index defied the broader market downturn, whereas the STAR 50 and Beijing Stock Exchange 50 indices showed signs of fatigue. The non-ferrous metals sector, which had been at the forefront of earlier gains, witnessed the most significant retracement, with only the communications sector independently spearheading gains, buoyed by the validation of overseas computing power chains. The average daily trading volume contracted to 2.35 trillion yuan, as incremental funds pivoted towards bond ETFs in a bid to mitigate risk, while low-position counterattacks continued to gain traction. From the vantage point of catalytic factors and timing, emerging themes such as advanced computing technologies, small-cap crossovers, innovative power supply frameworks, and lithium batteries are poised to garner increased attention. Considering the prevailing market environment, catalytic drivers, and quantitative metrics, it is prudent to concentrate on these four major thematic avenues.
