The European Union's initiative to spur the removal of Chinese-backed telecom equipment has hit another snag. MasOrange, Spain's premier telecommunications operator, has informed Ericsson that, owing to its inability to meet the targets set forth in their cooperation agreement, the company will reassess its prior intention to 'completely substitute Huawei's equipment with Ericsson's'.
