Sichuan Province has officially released the Several Policy Measures for Promoting the Construction of the Computing Power Network in Sichuan Province (Trial), outlining ambitious plans to support the development of intelligent computing clusters boasting over 10,000 graphics processing units (GPUs). The initiative aims to draw in major telecommunications operators and leading hardware manufacturers to establish these colossal computing hubs in key regions, notably the core computing power area of the Chengdu Plain and the Panxi-Northwest Sichuan computing-electricity integrated development zone.

To realize this grand vision, Sichuan will employ a multifaceted approach, combining fiscal incentives, financial support, and green energy policies. These measures are designed to streamline the implementation of large-scale and even ultra-large-scale computing power facility projects, ensuring a robust and sustainable infrastructure for the future.

In tandem with these efforts, the province is also exploring the construction of highly secure computing facilities. Leveraging the natural advantages of secure and concealed environments, such as tunnels, Sichuan plans to collaborate with specialized central enterprises. Together, they will deploy modular, green, high-density, and highly secure computing power facilities, creating a fortress-like environment for sensitive data processing. Furthermore, the province is actively seeking national special support to bolster these endeavors, ensuring that Sichuan remains at the forefront of secure and efficient computing power development.
