On August 11 (local time), Quantinuum, a leader in the quantum computing sector, and Oracle Corporation announced a multi-year strategic partnership. Under the agreement, Quantinuum's third-generation, general-purpose commercial quantum computer, Helios, will be deployed in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's (OCI) AI data center located in the United States. OCI customers will be able to directly access Helios through OCI's Quantum Services and leverage OCI's high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU infrastructure to enable collaborative work between quantum and classical computing. As the world's most precise general-purpose commercial quantum computer, Helios employs 98 physical qubits, achieving a single-qubit gate operation fidelity of 99.9975% and an average two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.921%. It provides 48 error-corrected logical qubits with a physical-to-logical qubit conversion rate approaching 2:1, demonstrating powerful computational capabilities and stability. This collaboration will drive the widespread adoption of quantum computing technologies in cloud environments, offering OCI customers more efficient computational solutions in fields such as materials science and financial analysis.
