According to prominent figures within the telecommunications industry chain, NVIDIA is stepping up its foray into the telecom operator market. The tech giant is actively seeking partnerships with Chinese base station manufacturers to co-develop 6G base stations tailored for overseas markets. NVIDIA envisions a future where computing power transitions from centralized data centers to a vast array of AI terminals and end-users, a shift that will heavily depend on wireless transmission facilitated by base stations. Consequently, NVIDIA is on the lookout for partners capable of contributing to edge-side computing capabilities. The project is being pursued with a sense of urgency, as NVIDIA aims to reach the trial network stage by 2027 or 2028.
This correspondent has learned that Shenzhen Jiaxian Communication has already embarked on a collaborative journey with NVIDIA in the development of 6G AI-RAN base stations. A source close to Jiaxian Communication confirmed that the two companies have been in discussions since 2025 and are currently engaged in R&D collaboration, leveraging NVIDIA's CUDA ecosystem. This partnership has been ongoing for more than six months.
Established in 2011 and headquartered in Shenzhen, Jiaxian Communication specializes in delivering AI-RAN wireless communication products and solutions. On August 4, Tongyu Communication unveiled its plans to acquire approximately 25% of Jiaxian Communication's equity, with the transaction valued at 300 million yuan.
