On June 4th, news emerged that the Price Cost and Certification Center of the National Development and Reform Commission undertook a research mission in Guangdong Province from May 26th to 29th, focusing on the price formation mechanism of data elements. During this period, the research team engaged in in-depth discussions with Guangzhou Data Group and the data exchange platforms in both Guangzhou and Shenzhen. These discussions revolved around key topics, including the evolution of the data element market, the authorized operation of public data, and the intricacies of price formation mechanisms. Furthermore, the team also held consultations with Ping An Group, delving into matters related to insurance and financial data, as well as the evolving landscape of costs and pricing strategies for new energy vehicle insurance. Personnel from the Development and Reform Commissions of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, along with representatives from the Beijing Zhongcai Xingye Economic Consulting Institute and the Center's Element and Policy Research Division, actively participated in this comprehensive research endeavor.
