The National Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) announced today that the peak power load across its operational regions is projected to exceed 130 billion kilowatts this summer, reflecting a year-on-year growth of approximately 6%. To safeguard grid stability and ensure reliable electricity supply during peak demand periods, SGCC is ramping up efforts to enhance its power supply infrastructure. This includes accelerating the development of robust power supply assurance systems, optimizing market-driven electricity trading mechanisms, promoting the efficient integration and utilization of clean energy sources, and advancing the implementation of 168 critical projects specifically designed to meet summer peak demand challenges.
