On May 20, Microsoft and Proximus NXT announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop and deploy sovereign cloud solutions for public and private organizations in Belgium and Luxembourg. Based on the Azure Local Air-Gapped operation mode, the solution allows organizations to run autonomous cloud environments that can be temporarily or permanently disconnected from the public cloud, while retaining core Azure services to meet the high demands for data sovereignty, compliance, and business continuity in fields such as healthcare, finance, and public administration. Currently, Proximus NXT has established a test lab in Evere, Belgium.
