Alibaba Cloud set a goal in early April to achieve a fivefold increase in average daily Token revenue compared to early April by May 15, and this goal has now been accomplished. Since 2026, Alibaba Cloud has adopted Token revenue as a core operational metric, with growth primarily driven by increased Agent call volume, progress in MaaS commercialization, and computational power consumption by internet and large model companies. Companies such as Moonshot AI, Zhipu AI, and MiniMax, as clients of Alibaba Cloud, have also contributed to the growth in Token revenue through their own revenue increases. Additionally, Alibaba Cloud has seen significant growth in Token revenue from its own products and services, including calls to the Bailian MaaS platform, AI calls to cloud-based products, and the Qoder AI code generation tool. Alibaba Cloud has also established the Alibaba Token Hub business group, integrating five business divisions to focus on the creation, delivery, and application of Tokens.
