Alibaba Cloud has recently declared modifications to the complimentary API allowances for users of DataWorks Standard and Professional Editions, while also introducing support for a pay-as-you-go pricing model. Specifically, the free API allowance for Standard Edition users has been revised to 100,000 calls monthly, whereas Professional Edition users will be entitled to 500,000 calls per month. Notably, the daily call restrictions have been lifted for both editions. For API usage that surpasses the free allowance, charges will be incurred on a pay-as-you-go basis via OpenAPI. The policies governing DataWorks Basic and Enterprise Editions remain unaltered, and the Queries Per Second (QPS) limits for all editions will also remain consistent. These modifications will be progressively rolled out, commencing on April 14, 2026, and will be fully operational across all regions by April 23, 2026.
