According to sources familiar with the matter, Blackstone Group is considering promoting a data center company for a $2 billion IPO. The offering is being led by Goldman Sachs Group, with Citigroup and Morgan Stanley also participating. The formal roadshow is expected to start as early as this month. Blackstone has already held preliminary discussions with investors regarding new investment vehicles and confidentially submitted relevant documents to U.S. regulators earlier this year. It has also approached sovereign wealth funds and other entities to secure initial funding, with the goal of ultimately raising tens of billions of dollars. However, no final decision has been made yet, and the transaction arrangements and structure may still be adjusted. Spokespersons for the relevant companies declined to comment.
