The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with eight additional departments, has jointly unveiled the "Action Plan for Fostering Innovative Growth in the Internet of Things Industry (2026-2028)". This plan aims to propel the core IoT industry's scale beyond RMB 3.5 trillion and attain a terminal connection count in the tens of billions by 2028. The document details five key strategies: equipment innovation, platform enhancement, scenario nurturing, network consolidation, and ecosystem construction. These strategies are designed to facilitate the seamless integration of IoT technology across production, consumption, and social governance domains, thereby promoting the fusion of the digital economy with the real economy.
