The 2026 Space Computing Power Industry Conference convened at the Tongming Lake Convention and Exhibition Center, located in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area. During the event, the industry’s first collaborative platform for space computing power—the Space Computing Power Professional Committee—was formally established. Relying on the Computing Power Industry Development Alliance, which is led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), this platform aims to accelerate the advancement of China’s computing power industry.
Li Jie, Deputy Director of the Cloud Computing and Big Data Research Institute at CAICT, emphasized that space computing power represents an innovative extension and integration of traditional ground-based computing industries into the space domain. He noted that the establishment of the Professional Committee will enhance collaboration between the computing power and aerospace sectors, fostering a robust industrial ecosystem.
