As reported by the UK's Financial Times, a fire erupted at Amazon's data center in Bahrain at 8:00 PM local time on April 1. The Bahraini Civil Defense Department swiftly responded to the incident, extinguishing and bringing the flames under control. Although the Bahraini authorities refrained from explicitly naming Amazon Web Services (AWS), reliable sources have confirmed that the facility under attack was indeed Amazon's AWS cloud computing data center in Bahrain. The assault caused significant damage to the data center, consequently disrupting AWS's business operations. Prior to this, on March 1, three AWS data centers owned by Amazon in the UAE and Bahrain were also subjected to drone strikes, leading to widespread service outages and the paralysis of multiple core cloud services. The repercussions of these attacks extended across several countries and sectors, causing widespread disruption.
