The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology has recently unveiled two comprehensive reports. These reports delineate the developmental trajectories of the digital economy in China and across the globe for the year 2025. According to the reports, the digital economy is increasingly gaining prominence within China's national economic landscape. In 2024, it soared to RMB 59.2 trillion, constituting 43.8% of the GDP, which marks a notable increase of 1 percentage point from the preceding year. On a global scale, the digital economy is embarking on a fresh cycle of intelligent transformation, propelled by general artificial intelligence serving as the pivotal driving force.
