Microsoft has bolstered its specialized hardware offerings for the Windows 365 Cloud PC service, introducing two collaborative mini PCs aimed at elevating cloud-based office experiences. Among these offerings, the Windows 365 Link stands out as Microsoft's inaugural cloud PC hardware device. It is set to hit the market in April 2025 at a price point of $349.99, with intentions to broaden its availability to seven key markets—including Spain and Singapore—by February 2026. Specifically crafted for enterprise clientele rather than the average consumer, this device will be exclusively distributed through Microsoft's commercial sales channels. Its compact form factor, measuring 120mm×120mm×30mm and weighing a mere 418 grams, belies its robust capabilities. It is powered by an Intel N250 processor, complemented by 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. The device supports dual 4K display outputs and incorporates Bluetooth 5.3 technology. To bolster data security, it eschews local data storage and application execution capabilities. Security is a cornerstone of the Windows 365 Link's design, featuring Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, and BitLocker encryption to safeguard sensitive information. Moreover, it has successfully undergone MIL-STD-810H environmental testing certification, ensuring its resilience in diverse operational conditions. Looking ahead, a July 2025 software update will introduce a new Connection Hub feature and facilitate Control-Alt-Delete menu access. Furthermore, Microsoft has plans to incorporate Bluetooth pairing support and bare-metal recovery functionality into the device in early 2026, further enhancing its versatility and user-friendliness.
