On January 27, the 2026 'Intelligent Computing in Shanghai' Summit Forum convened in the city. At the primary session, Pan Yan, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, highlighted that Shanghai is vigorously executing national strategies, advancing the 'AI Plus' action plan, and pioneering the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. Focusing on the upcoming '15th Five-Year Plan' period, Shanghai is set to proactively construct intelligent computing infrastructure and hasten the widespread utilization of domestically-produced chips. The city aims to establish a self-reliant and controllable intelligent computing industrial ecosystem, foster a 'domestic chip, domestic model, domestic cloud' framework, and cultivate the 'Shanghai Brand' for intelligent computing super nodes. Furthermore, Shanghai will refine its policy, financial, and talent support mechanisms to propel the high-quality development of the computing power sector.
