On January 7th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled the 42nd batch of telecommunication network code resources for the year 2025. China Broadcasting Network Group Co., Ltd. was awarded the new 1610 code, which has been approved for utilization as a “public mobile communication network number.”

Insiders from China Broadcasting Mobile verified that the allocation of this new code to the company is aimed at tackling the shortage of code resources in certain provinces and facilitating the expansion of broadcasting as well as mobile communication services. Staff members from local broadcasting entities mentioned that, as of now, there are no immediate plans to make the new code accessible to users.

Previously, China Broadcasting Network had already introduced the 192 number segment. By the end of September 2025, the count of 5G users under the umbrella of China Broadcasting Network had soared to 39,956,100.
