The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has unveiled the "Action Plan for Fostering High-Quality Development of Industrial Internet Platforms (2026 - 2028)." The overarching goal is to set up a multi-layered industrial internet platform framework by 2028. Specifically, the plan envisions nurturing over 450 influential platforms, linking over 120 million industrial devices, and attaining a platform adoption rate of over 55%.

The plan details four key strategies:

1. Platform Cultivation and Excellence Strategy: Steer differentiated development paths and create a four-tier excellence cultivation framework.
2. Platform Data Aggregation and Intelligence Augmentation Strategy: Unleash the potential of data, construct an industrial model framework, and propel AI integration.
3. Platform Large-Scale Deployment Strategy: Deepen scenario-specific applications, elevate the quality and efficiency of enterprise applications, and pioneer innovative service promotion models.
4. Platform Ecosystem Support Strategy: Investigate open-source mechanisms, enhance open collaboration standards, refine standardization frameworks, and bolster platform security measures.
