Reporters have gathered information from the National Data Work Conference, revealing that, as of 2025, China has made significant strides in leveraging data to empower artificial intelligence. The National Data Administration, working in tandem with 26 ministries and commissions, has designated 72 leading entities to spearhead pilot projects in crucial domains such as science and education, as well as in innovative sectors like embodied artificial intelligence. A total of 140 tasks aimed at constructing high-quality datasets have been rolled out, culminating in the creation of over 100,000 datasets of exceptional quality, with an aggregate size exceeding 890PB. Liu Liehong, the Director of the National Data Administration, remarked that in 2025, the Administration has orchestrated a series of strategic "combined moves" to facilitate the market-oriented allocation reform of data elements. These efforts have been centered around systems, infrastructure, application scenarios, markets, and industries. As a result, the process of marketization and value realization of data elements has witnessed a marked acceleration, and fruitful outcomes have been realized in international cooperation within the data sector.
