As per the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), the Guangdong Computing Network Collaborative Service Platform has been officially inaugurated. Serving as a pivotal provincial project to put the "Action Plan for Computing Power Interconnection and Interoperability" into practice, this platform harnesses CAICT's computing power interconnection technologies. It was co-developed by the Guangzhou Internet Exchange Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Guangdong Unicom.

The platform boasts four primary functions:

  • Centralized dissemination of computing power support policies and application guidelines.
  • Integration into the national unified computing power identification system to streamline resource management.
  • Creation of a supply-demand matching platform aimed at cutting computing costs for government bodies and enterprises.
  • Offering a variety of customized computing services designed for multi-industry use cases.

The rollout of these platform features signifies a shift in computing power within the Greater Bay Area from "isolated deployment" to "collaborative interconnection."
