Over the past few months, the artificial intelligence (AI) industry has driven a new surge in data center construction. Tech giants have been making announcements one after another, deploying new computing power by establishing partnerships or building new AI infrastructure, with investments amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars. For instance, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet (the parent company of Google) plan to spend $325 billion on AI infrastructure in 2025. Alibaba has announced the advancement of its AI infrastructure layout with an investment of 380 billion yuan. Microsoft is investing $3.7 billion to build a new generation of AI data centers, and OpenAI plans to add five new AI data centers.
