State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. has announced that Jiangsu Province’s inaugural 500 kV digital and intelligent inspection demonstration substation has officially commenced operations in Suqian. Utilizing cutting-edge digital and intelligent technologies, this substation adopts an inspection approach characterized by “seamless ground-air and indoor-outdoor integration.” This innovative model significantly bolsters regional energy security during winter months and serves as a valuable benchmark for the development of digital and intelligent power grids. The demonstration substation is outfitted with approximately 170 high-definition cameras, more than 6,000 inspection points, and ten distinct types of online monitoring systems. Additionally, it incorporates advanced equipment such as drone landing stations, intelligent inspection robots, and robotic dogs, thereby establishing a comprehensive and intelligent operation and maintenance platform.
