The National Development and Reform Commission, along with four other key departments, has jointly issued a set of guidelines underscoring the urgency of swiftly establishing a comprehensive curriculum and textbook framework tailored to disciplines centered around data elements. This initiative aims to launch a series of distinctive and high-quality textbooks. Financial and logistical support will be extended to universities to facilitate teacher training programs focused on enhancing pedagogical skills, as well as to recruit industry specialists for collaborative educational endeavors. Furthermore, universities are encouraged to foster project-based collaborations and provide practical training opportunities for faculty members in partnership with enterprises and other organizations. Additionally, the guidelines stipulate that teaching guidance committees for data-related disciplines must effectively carry out their mandates, encompassing research, consultation, guidance, assessment, and service delivery, while actively seeking insights and feedback from industry professionals.
