On November 25, 2025, Amazon made public its intention to channel an extra $15 billion into the northern region of Indiana, in the United States. This substantial investment will be earmarked for constructing a brand-new data center campus, specifically designed to bolster advancements in artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Once completed, this project is projected to augment computational capacity by 2.4 gigawatts. Moreover, it is expected to directly create 1,100 high-skilled positions and indirectly generate thousands of employment opportunities within the supply chain. Since embarking on its investment journey in the state back in 2010, Amazon's total investment there has now surpassed the impressive figure of $31.3 billion.
