The People's Government of Guangdong Province has recently unveiled the Construction Plan for the National Digital Economy Innovation and Development Pilot Zone in Guangdong Province (2025-2027). This plan aims to expedite the digital and intelligent transformation of traditional enterprises. To achieve this, specific strategies have been outlined: establishing provincial-level manufacturing industry digital transformation promotion centers to an exemplary standard and enhancing the integrated utilization of artificial intelligence technologies; driving forward national and provincial-level city pilot initiatives for the digital transformation of SMEs, and crafting 'compact, swift, lightweight, and precise' digital products and solutions; facilitating the profound integration of existing industrial internet platforms with vertical sectors, and fostering the growth of industry-specific and scenario-driven service providers. Furthermore, the plan encourages SMEs to amplify their entrepreneurial and innovative endeavors in the digital sphere, with the goal of cultivating an even larger cohort of specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative SMEs, as well as 'Little Giant' enterprises.
