China has achieved significant headway in harnessing the potential of remote sensing satellite data resources. The "Remote Sensing Satellite Multispectral Monitoring Dataset," developed by Shanxi Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Institute Co., Ltd., has successfully undergone data asset registration and obtained a certification, marking it as the inaugural registered instance in China's satellite remote sensing data domain. This initiative amalgamates both internally sourced and externally procured satellite data, which is subsequently processed to create a dataset of considerable commercial worth, with extensive applications across numerous sectors. This registration has paved the way for the incorporation of multi-source remote sensing satellite data resources into financial statements, establishing a closed-loop data asset value chain. It also provides a viable solution and a reference point for the standardized management of data assets. The execution of this case bridges an industry gap and constructs a comprehensive system, contributing the "Shanxi experience" to the commercial development of the national data element market.
