With China Mobile and China Unicom sequentially launching centralized procurement drives for computing power servers, a fierce competition among the three major telecom operators in the computing power arena has been ignited. Presently, the combined intelligent computing capacity of these three operators has surpassed 100 EFLOPS, spanning numerous key node cities nationwide. They are rapidly advancing the integration of AI in diverse sectors, including mining operations, farmland management, examination supervision, healthcare services, and urban governance. Through the deployment of large-scale AI models and the introduction of AI agents, they are fostering business transformation and driving revenue growth. In the first half of this year, both China Mobile and China Telecom reported billions of yuan in revenue stemming from AI-related services, underscoring the monetization of AI applications as a pivotal factor in their successful transformation. Industry experts posit that while monetizing AI infrastructure may not pose significant challenges for operators, their primary focus should lie in the integrated monetization of AI and network capabilities, encompassing areas such as large-scale AI models, data utilization, and AI agent deployment.
