Uber has launched a new service in India that allows ride-sharing and delivery drivers to utilize their free time to participate in data classification and information gathering tasks through the app. These tasks include various forms such as reviewing photos and classifying text. These tasks will be used to support Uber's global corporate clients in developing AI models. Currently, this 'digital task' initiative has been rolled out in 12 cities, attracting tens of thousands of drivers to participate. Additionally, Uber has announced that it is operating a 350PB data lake and has developed a data protection tool called HiveSync. The company plans to open-source this replication service and continue developing new features to meet the growing demand.
