The State Council Information Office recently convened a press conference to highlight the achievements of Digital China's development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Liu Liehong, a member of the leading Party group at the National Development and Reform Commission and the head of the National Data Administration, revealed that China's digital infrastructure has witnessed remarkable advancements during this period, positioning it at the forefront globally in terms of scale and technological prowess. By the close of June 2025, the total count of 5G base stations had soared to 4.55 million, with the number of gigabit broadband users reaching an impressive 226 million.
