According to TrendForce's latest survey, the DDR4 market is poised to endure a persistent supply shortage in the latter half of 2025, with prices anticipated to surge significantly. Amidst the strain of rigid server orders, the availability of DDR4 for the PC and consumer markets is constrained, prompting PC OEM manufacturers to expedite their shift towards DDR5 solutions. Simultaneously, consumer manufacturers confront the dual hurdles of elevated procurement costs and material scarcity. The tight supply-demand dynamics within the DDR market have further propelled mobile DRAM contract prices, with LPDDR4X prices achieving a new single-quarter peak in nearly a decade during the third quarter.
