Amidst an ongoing memory upgrade cycle, DDR4 memory prices have doubled in just a month due to market concerns over potential product shortages, as the industry anticipates the phase-out of DDR4. According to South Korean media outlet The Elec, Samsung had initially intended to cease DDR4 production by the end of 2025 and had already informed its customers of this plan. However, in response to the burgeoning market demand, Samsung has recently decided to extend its DDR4 production until the end of 2026.
