Huawei has recently refiled a lawsuit against Transsion Holdings, alleging infringement of a European patent pertaining to image filtering technology. This latest legal action follows a previous dispute in 2019, where the two companies clashed over the infringement of theme wallpapers, which was eventually resolved through negotiation. Transsion, a dominant player in the African market and actively expanding into other emerging markets, has increasingly found itself entangled in international patent disputes. Notably, Qualcomm also previously sued Transsion in India for patent infringement. Clearly, the issue of patent infringement has emerged as a pressing concern that Transsion must address with urgency.
