The National Key Laboratory of Brain-Computer Intelligence at Zhejiang University has introduced a groundbreaking neuromorphic brain-inspired computer named 'Wukong'. This state-of-the-art system boasts 960 indigenously developed Darwin-3 brain-like chips, capable of supporting over 2 billion spiking neurons and 100 billion synapses. Its neuron count is comparable to that of a macaque brain, while operating with a typical power consumption of approximately 2000 watts. As the world's first dedicated neuromorphic brain-inspired computer featuring over 2 billion neurons, this achievement signifies that China has attained an international advanced position in the realm of neuromorphic computing.
