Intel has introduced the XeSS SDK 2.1.0, a milestone that brings XeSS Frame Generation (XeSS-FG) and Xe Low Latency (XeLL) technologies to non-Intel GPUs for the first time. This groundbreaking development allows users with NVIDIA, AMD, or Qualcomm graphics cards to benefit from the advanced features of XeSS 2, breaking free from the constraints of brand-specific super-resolution technologies. Nevertheless, this compatibility does come with certain caveats. Specifically, third-party GPUs must support Shader Model 6.4, and the functionality is currently limited to the Microsoft DirectX 12 API.
