Prices in the midstream and upstream segments of the photovoltaic industry chain maintained an upward trajectory last week. Data from InfoLink reveals that the average transaction price for polysilicon dense material surged to 42,000 yuan per ton, marking a 13.5% increase. Similarly, the average transaction price for granular silicon rose by 10%, reaching 44,000 yuan per ton. InfoLink notes that with the adjustment of the quotation benchmark to a level no less than full cost, polysilicon dense material prices are anticipated to further climb, potentially reaching between 50,000 and 52,000 yuan per ton, and possibly even surpassing 55,000 yuan per ton, contingent on downstream market acceptance. Some key customers are quoting prices around 49,000 yuan per ton, while granular silicon prices are expected to edge up to 45,000 yuan per ton. InfoLink emphasizes that the substantial variance in silicon material pricing last week underscores the ongoing tug-of-war between upstream and downstream players.
