AMD Introduces Budget-Friendly Ryzen AI 5 330: Compact 4-Core Processor with Full NPU Capability

AMD's official website has unveiled the new mobile APU, the Ryzen AI 5 330, designed specifically for entry-level laptops. Built on the Krackan Point 2 architecture, this processor is targeted at budget-conscious consumers. It comprises 1 Zen 5 core and 3 Zen 5c cores, totaling 4 cores, and supports SMT technology to deliver 8 threads. The Zen 5 core boasts a base frequency of 2GHz, with a boost capability up to 4.5GHz, while the Zen 5c cores have a base frequency of 2GHz and can reach a boost frequency of up to 3.4GHz.

Despite its compact core count, the Ryzen AI 5 330 retains full NPU functionality, offering an impressive 50 TOPS. It is equipped with the Radeon 820M integrated graphics card, based on the advanced RDNA 3.5 architecture, supporting DP 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 standards. Furthermore, the processor supports both dual-channel LPDDR5x-8000 and DDR5-5600 memory, with the number of native PCIe lanes reduced to 14, and a flexible power consumption range of 15W to 28W.
