General Motors (GM) and Redwood Materials have announced a strategic alliance aimed at recycling and repurposing both new and used electric vehicle batteries. Under this partnership, Redwood transforms these battery packs into stationary energy storage solutions. Notably, GM's used batteries are already integrated into a 12-megawatt microgrid located at Redwood's headquarters in Sparks, Nevada.
