In a research report released on July 16, CITIC Securities highlighted that NVIDIA intends to resume sales of the H20 chip in China on July 15, 2025. Notably, sales of this chip to regions including China were halted on April 16, 2025, at the behest of the U.S. government. The H20 chip, a product re-engineered by NVIDIA in response to the U.S. BIS chip control policy in October 2023, exhibits reduced peak computing power but maintains a robust competitive edge in software ecosystems and cluster interconnectivity. CITIC Securities anticipates that NVIDIA may introduce the B30 series and other chip models compliant with export restrictions in the near future. Additionally, the firm expects downstream customers to persist in procuring NVIDIA-related chips to cater to the evolving demands of the artificial intelligence sector.
