As the US stock market concluded trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.37%, while the S&P 500 index slipped marginally by 0.07%. In contrast, the Nasdaq Composite Index achieved a modest increase of 0.03%. The oil sector stood out with notable gains, as Schlumberger surged more than 4%, and both BP and Chevron climbed over 3%. Within the technology sector, Nvidia and Tesla witnessed share price increases exceeding 1%, but Netflix, Google, and Amazon saw declines of more than 1%. The majority of popular Chinese stocks listed in the US advanced, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index ending the day up 0.71%. Among these, iQIYI gained more than 3%, JD.com and New Oriental rose over 2%, and Alibaba increased by 1.6%.
