Following Samsung and SK Hynix, Micron has now entered the fray, supplying GDDR7 memory to NVIDIA for the RTX 50 series graphics cards. This development unites all three major manufacturers in this endeavor. Samsung, being the pioneer, was the first to provide GDDR7 memory for the RTX 50 series and continues to serve as the primary supplier, offering a diverse lineup that includes 2GB at 32GHz, 2GB at 28GHz, and 3GB at 28GHz, tailored specifically for high-end models. SK Hynix, on the other hand, offers a single specification of 2GB at 32GHz, which is predominantly utilized in mid-to-high-end RTX 50 series cards. Micron, joining the ranks, presents two specifications of GDDR7 memory, each with a capacity of 2GB and frequencies of 32GHz and 28GHz, respectively. Currently, it is unclear which RTX 50 series models incorporate Micron's memory. Nonetheless, as the supply of GDDR7 memory expands, it is anticipated that costs will gradually decrease.
