Qualcomm has discreetly introduced two updated versions of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, specifically models SM8650-Q-AB and SM8650-Q-AA. Unlike the original chip, these two new iterations have streamlined the CPU core configuration from the initial 1+5+2 eight-core setup to a 1+4+1 six-core arrangement. Additionally, the maximum CPU clock speed has been dialed down from 3.3GHz to 3.0GHz. These adjustments are intended to manage costs more effectively and minimize power consumption.
