The recent trade agreement struck between President Donald Trump and Vietnam has led to a substantial hike in import costs for Apple hardware, impacting a wide range of products including AirPods, most iPads, and Mac minis. In light of Trump's "reciprocal" tariff policy, Apple has undertaken significant adjustments to its global supply and distribution networks. According to Apple CEO Tim Cook in May 2025, all Apple products, with the exception of the iPhone, will now be sourced from Vietnam. However, CNBC has reported that the new trade deal announced by Trump will dramatically escalate the costs of most Apple devices compared to pre-second-term levels.
