On July 3, Foxconn reportedly requested hundreds of Chinese engineers from the mainland to evacuate from its iPhone factory in India. Guo Mingqi, a prominent Apple analyst at TF International Securities, commented that the implications of this action are minimal, as the repatriation plans for these employees had been in the works for some time, and Apple is fully aware of the situation. Reports indicate that over 300 Chinese employees have departed from the Indian facility. To date, neither Foxconn nor Apple has officially addressed this matter.
