Hu Chengchen, Assistant Vice President and Chief Expert in Technology Planning at NIO, has announced his resignation. Previous speculations had linked him to NIO's autonomous driving chip project, but the company has clarified that Hu's primary role was in formulating the company's long-term technology roadmap. It emphasized that he was not involved in chip research and development, and affirmed that the chip team remains stable. Last July, NIO achieved a significant milestone with the successful tape-out of the world's first 5nm high-performance intelligent driving chip, the "NIO Shenji NX9031." This chip boasts high integration and robust processing capabilities, marking a pivotal breakthrough for NIO in the independent design of hardware chips and underlying software.
