Microsoft is refining its internal AI chip development strategy, adopting a more pragmatic and iterative approach to mitigate development delays and maintain competitiveness against NVIDIA. A report dated July 2 revealed that Microsoft has revised its AI server chip roadmap, aiming to introduce a more robust design by 2028. Notably, the Maia 200 chip, initially planned for release in 2025, has been rescheduled to 2026.
