A federal jury in Delaware, United States, has ordered Apple to pay $110.7 million (approximately RMB 793 million) in damages for infringing on the 3G wireless communication patent held by Spanish company TOT Power Control. The jury determined that the transceivers in Apple devices leverage 3G wireless technology owned by TOT. Despite TOT's request for a technology license, which was denied by Apple, the jury found in favor of TOT. Apple has expressed disappointment with the verdict and intends to appeal the decision.
