On Tuesday, Cloudflare, a pioneering internet infrastructure provider, announced a new policy aimed at preventing unauthorized or unpaid access to content by AI web crawlers. Moving forward, Cloudflare will block known AI crawlers by default. Furthermore, the company will query new domain owners about their willingness to permit AI crawlers to access their content, and will empower select publishers to adopt a 'pay-per-use' model for such crawlers.
