Led by Professor Wu Xu from the Institute of Frontier and Interdisciplinary Science at the School of Physics, Beijing Institute of Technology, the research team, in collaboration with Wuhan University's School of Integrated Circuit and School of Physics and Technology, as well as the Institute of Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made remarkable progress in regulating two-dimensional material Janus structures and elucidating the mechanism of symmetry breaking in charge density wave states. This research is supported by the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Field Display Chips and Systems and the School's Center for Interdisciplinary Science of Light Quantum and Nano-Electromechanical Integration.
