The Iranian parliament has enacted a new legislation prohibiting the unauthorized use of electronic communication tools, notably including Starlink services. Individuals found in violation of this law will face penalties ranging from fines to flogging, and potentially imprisonment for a duration of up to two years. Furthermore, actions such as collaborating with enemy states, aiding in the utilization of lethal weapons, or engaging in cyberattacks could result in the imposition of the death penalty. This stringent measure is aimed at bolstering Iran's defenses against foreign influence and enhancing its information control capabilities. Previously, Iran had accused Israel of engaging in cyber warfare, and the newly enacted law represents a concerted effort to counter such threats.
